COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Resources for NVC Employees

On October 14, 2021, the Board of Trustees of Napa Valley College approved a resolution making the COVID-19 vaccine mandatory and a condition of employment with the college.  Effective January 1, 2022, all employees and volunteers must provide proof of vaccination of the COVID-19 virus.

Information and links to the Cleared4 system have been sent out to all employees and volunteers in order for them to submit their proof of vaccination. Classified Professionals may refer to newly agreed upon Vaccine Requirment Protocol MOU here.

We appreciate your patience and support as the district implements this new employment requirement. Please feel free to contact the Office of Human Resources, Training & Development at hr@napavalley.edu with any questions, concerns, or support.

Cleared4 Inc. has been selected by Napa Valley College to manage documentation of COVID-19 vaccinations as required by the Board of Trustees.  This system is HIPAA and FERPA compliant.  Users securely upload vaccination records and test results to be cleared for Spring 2022 in-person classes and/or services. Use or possession of false vaccination records violates Section 1017 of Title 18 of the United States Code, and submission of false records may be punishable by discipline and/or prosecution.  Vaccination records submitted via Cleared4 may be checked against public health databases.

You can submit your proof of vaccination by following the instructions that will be issued to you in the Cleared4 automated email sent to your NVC email address. This email will include your unique Cleared4 upload link.

Napa Valley College has a process in place for any employee requesting a Medical or Disability Exemption or Religious Accommodation Request to the vaccination requirement. These exemption resources will also be made available during the Cleared4 verification process.

Exemptions to the vaccination requirement are very limited and only available for certain medical conditions and sincerely held religious beliefs.
