Napa Valley College continues to follow California Department of Public Health COVID-19 guidelines.

FEELING SICK?

Take a COVID-19 home antigen test. The Student Health Center has free, home antigen tests available for pick up.

COVID-19 symptoms include:

· Fever or chills

· Cough

· Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

· Fatigue

· Muscle or body aches

· Headache

· New loss of taste or smell

· Sore throat

· Congestion or runny nose

· Nausea or vomiting

· Diarrhea

If you test NEGATIVE but you continue to have symptoms, test again 24-48 hours later. Low amounts of virus early in infection can be missed, and you can test positive a few days later.

If you test POSITIVE for COVID-19, please notify the Student Health Center at (707)256-7780 and stay home and isolate for at least 5 days counting from the day you began feeling sick (Day 0 is the day you began feeling sick; Day 1 is the next day). If you have no symptoms, then isolate for 5 full days after the day you tested positive (Day 0 is the day you took your positive test; Day 1 is the day after).

You may end isolation and return to campus AFTER Day 5 IF:

· You have no symptoms, or your symptoms are mild and getting better; AND

· You have not had a fever for 24 hours without taking medicine that lowers fevers.

Continue to wear a mask through Day 10 unless, after ending isolation, you have two negative antigen tests at least a day apart without a positive test in between.

COVID-19 EXPOSURE

Take a COVID-19 home antigen test 3-5 days following your last exposure date.

If you had COVID-19 in the last 30 days, you do not need to test unless you develop symptoms.

Wear a well-fitting mask indoors around others for ten days after you were last exposed—even if your test is negative.
