WHAT IS NEXTUP?
Napa Valley College's NextUp program is dedicated to ensuring student academic success, emotional support, and empowering participating current or former foster youth to be successful in their educational journey. As an acadedmic support program, NextUp is committed to advocacy, personal growth, and providing educational and economic support for our diverse foster youth population.
Eligible NextUp students are automatically enrolled into the EOPS program and are eligible for services provided by each program.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Be enrolled at Napa Valley College
- Submit a NextUp or EOPS application
- Be a current or former foster youth whose dependency or wardship was established or continued by the court on or after the youth's 13th birthday.
- Be under 26 years of age before July 1st of the academic year
- Provide official verification letter of depenency
Do you need help obtaining your proof of dependency?
Complete and submit the CA Foster Care Ombudsperson Verification Request Form.
An official letter will be emailed to the email you provided.
