Board of Trustees
The Napa Valley Community College district is under the direction of a Board of Trustees
composed of seven community members. Elected from within established areas of the
district, trustees serve four-year terms. Students are represented by a student trustee,
who is selected in an annual election. The Board meets once a month, and agendas are
posted in accordance with open meeting laws.
Meetings are conducted in person, at the NVC main campus, Administration building,
room 1538. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Meetings are accessible to
members of the public via Zoom, and public comment will be allowed at appropriate
times during the meeting, which are announced by the Board President.
Additionally, you may submit your comments electronically by emailing armando.robles@napavalley.edu with the subject line: PUBLIC COMMENT. Submissions by email must be received by noon
of the day of the meeting. Emailed comments will be shared with the board members
and posted to the agenda.

Board Goals 2026-2027
- Hire and retain a permanent Superintendent/President, and provide them with direction, support, and resources.
- Leverage Trustee relationships within and around the Napa Valley to assist the Superintendent/President in cultivating community support for the college and its strategic initiatives.

Continue to lead from a framework that incorporates diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and accessibility into all facets of campus operations.

Prioritize operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Ensure financial stability and long-term fiscal health of the college, including best-practice use of one-time and short-term funding.

Ensure the district and campus continue to successfully manage a 24/7 student housing community, building upon growing occupancy and student support.

Prioritize community engagement and support through creative collaboration and strategic alignment with external partners.
