Standing Committees
Standing committees are permanent committees designed to handle an issue or issues on a continual basis.
The Audit and Finance Committee is an advisory committee of the Board.
The committee reviews and oversees the District's financial reporting processes, internal controls, and independent auditors. The committee also reviews budget proposals and makes policy recommendations to the Board regarding the fiscal strategy of the District.

The primary responsibility of the Legislative Affairs Committee is to advise the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees on local, state, and federal legislation affecting the Napa Valley College District.

- This committee has not been assigned members for 2023.
The Real Property Committee of the Board of Trustees is charged with reviewing and evaluating the existing real property assets of the Napa Valley Community College District. The committee’s review will be made within the context of the today’s local, regional, and state-wide land use decisions, discussions and trends. The committee may review informal community-based inquiries related to District assets. The committee will consider and recommend next steps in the formal evaluation of assets (environmental or other).

Ad hoc committees are temporary and created for a specific issue to generate recommendations or work on a resolution. Once the objective is achieved the committee is disbanded.
