Welcome to the Division of Arts and Humanities (ARAH)

(Two Feet - Glazed Stoneware - M'Kormik T. Hamilton 2014)

"Two Feet" - Coil-built stoneware; M'Kormik T. Hamilton, 2014

The Faculty and Staff in the Division of Arts and Humanities at Napa Valley College invite you to explore a range of creative and expressive opportunities as a beginner or in preparation for advanced work.  Our instructors are professionals who teach for the love of knowing the human experience from the varying perspectives of visual arts, humanities, philosophy, music, and theater.

Visit our program websites, listed on the left, for more detailed information on faculty, events, and degree requirements.

Our teaching facilities provide professionally-equipped studio and performance spaces for training and practice, including renovated facilities for ceramics and an award-winning Performing Arts Center for theater and music.  The Visual Arts Center presents exhibitions of guest artists, NVC faculty, and students' works in the Art Gallery.  The Performing Arts Center, completed in 2009, presents an extensive schedule of music and theater events throughout the academic year and hosts guest performers.

* Please note that tickets to Community Events hosted by the Performing Arts Center are sold by the Community Organization affiliated with the specific event.  Tickets to these events are NOT available at the Napa Valley College Box Office.
