Long-time Napa Resident Evelyn Allen Leaves Estate to Napa Valley College Foundation

Teacher, law student, viticulturist and lifelong learner Evelyn Allen, who began taking classes at Napa Valley College (NVC) in 1944 and continued nearly until she passed away on May 8 at the age of 94, has left her estate to the Napa Valley College Foundation. The announcement was made by Napa Valley College Foundation Executive Director Jessica Thomason.

Online public hearing on redrawing Napa Valley College voting districts set for Jan. 18

The public is invited to take part in a draft map public hearing for the redrawing of areas represented by trustees of the Napa Valley College board.

Jeff Dodd elected President of Napa Valley College Board of Trustees

The Napa Valley College board of trustees elected Jeff Dodd as board president for 2022 at its regular December board meeting. Dodd, who represents District 2, which encompasses the City of Napa, was elected to the NVC board of trustees in 2018 and served as vice president in 2021.

NVC women’s basketball team picks up first win of Bay Valley Conference season

The Napa Valley College women’s basketball team completed one of the toughest stretches of the 2021-22 season – five games in eight days, including back-to-back games to start the Bay Valley Conference campaign. The Storm will now head into the Christmas and New Year’s holiday break on a very positive note: with a win that snapped a six-game losing skid.
