Napa Valley College Graduate Arturo Macias Franco Beat All Odds

Arturo Macias Franco beat all odds to achieve his education. Growing up in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico, listening to stories about his grandfather’s ranch and animals, he was drawn towards a life in agriculture and veterinary science, and wanted to be a veterinarian.

Napa Valley College awards first LGBT Studies degrees

Midday on Saturday, May 29, hundreds of students will participate in a “drive-thru” ceremony at Napa Valley College (NVC) with their families, to pick up their diploma cover and take photos marking the moment they receive their degrees and certificates. Among them, for the first time ever, will be two students who have earned associate of science degrees in LGBT education.

Napa Valley College Invites Community to Provide Input on Community Education Classes and Programs

Napa Valley College (NVC) serves the community in a number of ways, including Community Education classes and programs, which provide opportunities to learn, grow and develop. NVC is planning to expand its community education offerings across the county and would like input to help inform that process.
