DSPS provides a variety of accommodations (also referred to as academic adjustments, auxiliary aids, and services) to students with disabilities. Our goal is to provide students the opportunity to participate fully in all aspects of college programs and activities through appropriate and reasonable accommodations.
How to Get Services
Apply to NVC.
Step 2: Apply to DSPS
and provide verification of disability in
of the following forms:
- most recent IEP or 504 Plan, or
- LD assessment from other institution, or
- medical documentation from a verifiable clinician, or
- completed Verification of Disability
Meet with DSPS Counselor or LD Specialist.Step 4:

Students have the right to file a grievance if they feel they have been discriminated against by following the Student Complaint and
grievance process. We encourage students to first communicate with DSPS Counselor(s), Learning Disabilities Specialist, and/or the Associate Dean.
