The Office of Institutional Advancement name has been changed to the Office of Public Affairs & Communications. The department now includes public relations and communications to enhance relationships on behalf of the District to increase both understanding and support among key constituents.
Promote or market the institution to prospective students, their parents and others
Communicate about the institution with those who have a stake in its success, including community members, business leaders, government officials, the press and others
Secure private financial support from potential donors committed to the mission of
the institution
Enhance local revenue sources and improve institutional efficiency through the management of campus services (auxiliary).
The Office of Public Affairs & Communications achieves these goals through implementation of the college-wide Communications Plan that focuses on consistent messages and identity, public affairs, publications, advertising, and web online communication as well as rigorous resource development, stewardship, grant development, and alumni and community relations programs.
