NAPA VALLEY COLLEGE CLASSES WILL REMAIN ONLINE AND CONTINUE
DISTANCE LEARNING THROUGH THE FALL SEMESTER, 2020.

STUDENT SERVICES

The staff and faculty of Napa Valley College are committed to your academic and personal success. NVC has transitioned nearly all services to online/remote platforms in order to meet your needs—both academically and to reduce exposure to COVID-19.

Please call or email any service department to reach support staff and/or make an appointment. We are answering calls and monitoring departmental voicemail and email during business hours (Monday-Thursday,

9 am-5 pm and Friday, 9 am-noon). Click here for contact information for all departments.

You can also access some student services by texting “NVC Resources” to 58052 (charges may apply).

All Student Services and Resources—including Math TutoringEnglish Tutoring, Financial AidCounseling, and our Food Basket Program—are available to you during the Bay Area’s Shelter-at-Home order.

The Food Basket remains open for student “shopping” on campus. Please call 707-256-7347 for hours.

If you are unsure which department will best meet your needs, please email the Welcome Center at 707-256-7215 or welcomecenter@napavalley.edu.

TUTORING

NetTutor is an online tutoring service that offers LIVE tutoring on-demand, question drop-off and writing feedback for many subjects 24 hours a day—and it integrates with Canvas! This is especially beneficial for students for whom we do not currently offer tutoring support (languages, sciences, nursing, etc.) Now we do!

ONLINE CLASS DELIVERY

ALL students now have an account in Canvas that can be accessed with your MyNVC (WebAdvisor) logon.

You will be contacted by your instructor with information relevant to each of your classes. If you have questions regarding your specific classes, please contact your instructor(s).

Do you need to borrow a laptop? Please contact the Welcome Center or call 707-256-7215. Laptops are available for pickup Monday through Thursday from 10 am-3 pm  and it is recommended (but not necessary) that you complete this form in advance.

Napa Valley College is committed to supporting you and your academic success during this challenging time and will  continue to share updates with you via email, Canvas, and other channels.

SUMMER REGISTRATION DATES

Summer classes begin on Monday, June 8. Classes will continue online with limited exceptions as allowed by revisions to the County and State Shelter-in-Place Orders. Priority registration begins May 5 and open registration begins May 20. Click here for registration information.
