Todd Dischinger
Since 2000, Todd has been the Basic Academy Coordinator for the Napa Valley College Criminal Justice Training Center. In 2005, Todd began working with the P.O.S.T. Basic Training Bureau and was appointed as the Napa Valley College Academy Instructional Skills Coordinator to assist with the delivery of the P.O.S.T. Facilitation Skills Courses to the 39 academies and 3500 academy instructors statewide. In 2006, Todd began a contract through Napa Valley College with P.O.S.T. as the administrator of the Academy Instructor Certificate Course (AICC), Advanced Facilitation Skills Course and the triennial AICC recertification courses. In addition to teaching in the academy, Todd works extensively in the classroom mentoring and coaching instructors and facilitating Instructor Development and Report Writing for Instructors courses. Todd also authors report writing tips for the Basic Academy Learning Domain workbooks. Todd is a graduate of the P.O.S.T. Master Instructor Development Program and has a Bachelor Degree in Social Science and Associates Degree in Administration of Justice. In 2003, Todd, in partnership with Director Greg Miraglia of the Napa Valley College Criminal Justice Training Center, received the Governor’s Award for “Organizational Excellence” on behalf of the college. Todd has 32 years of law enforcement experience, in four different law enforcement agencies (San Jose Police Department, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department, Vacaville Police Department and Solano County Sheriff’s Office) ranging from line level to administration.
