Welcome to Financial Aid!
The Financial Aid/EOPS Office offers a variety of aid programs, including grants, loans, scholarships, and work study opportunities for students who are having a difficult time meeting the cost of attending Napa Valley College. Any student who is having financial difficulties is urged to apply for financial assistance by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the California Dream Act Application for AB540 eligible Dreamers. Our friendly staff are here to assist you with the application process and to help you understand the types of assistance that may be available to you. Don't disqualify yourself! If you think you need financial aid, apply for it.

Financial Aid Refunds (Payments)
Introducing the MyNVC Card!
Beginning in Fall 2014, Napa Valley College will be partnering with Higher One®, a financial services company focused solely on higher education, to bring a new method for receiving financial aid refunds (disbursements) to all Napa Valley College students who have completed their financial aid file — the MyNVC Card.
The MyNVC Card is your personalized access key to creating a NVC refund account so that you may choose how you want to receive your financial aid money. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT AND MAKE A REFUND CHOICE. Refund choices include:
- Open a Higher One, Inc. One Account (free checking). If you choose to open a One Account, your MyNVC Card will be converted to a debit MasterCard that you can use to access funds in your One Account checking. Your financial aid reunds will be deposited into your One Account on the published refund date.
- Electronic deposit into your personal checking or savings account (ACH). Your financial aid refunds will be deposited into your personal account in 1-3 days from the refund date, depending on your personal bank's processing time.
- Paper check mailed to your home address. Your financial aid paper check refund will take approximately 5-7 days to reach you by mail.
