Napa Valley College Faculty & Staff

Hi and welcome to my site!

I am Tia Madison, professor of speech communication.  I teach all speech courses but Spring 2014 I will teach:

    Public Speech
    Career Communication

I have taught at Napa Valley College since spring 2003, and I enjoy the experiences that each semester brings.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Bethune-Cookman College (a Historically Black College) in Daytona Beach, Florida. I have a Master’s of Fine Arts degree in Theater, Film, and Television from the University of California, Los Angeles. I am currently working towards a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I coordinate the Umoja Community program at NVC, which is a program that assists all students with tools for successful navigation through their NVC experience.

Have a wonderful fall semester!
