Dr. Eve-Anne Wilkes is a Professor of Music at Napa Valley College in the Arts and Humanities Division. Currently, she teaches voice classes, directs the College and Women's Chorales, and assists as Musical Director for the musicals.
Dr. Wilkes received her Bachelor and Master Degrees from Ohio State University, and her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from West Virginia University. Following her doctoral studies, she received a grant to study voice in Munich, Germany, where she studied and performed for two years. During this time, she also studied and performed at the Mozarteum, the music academy in Salzburg, Austria.
Since her arrival in the Bay Area, Dr. Wilkes has won the American Music Contest sponsored by the San Francisco Conservatory, and has sung with Opera Non Troppo in Berkeley, Bay Area Youth Opera Company in San Francisco, and the "a cappella" ensembles: Resmiranda, and Rolls Voyce. Currently, she performs with three other sopranos in the group, Vocali.
In the wine country, she has performed solo recitals at the Robert Mondavi Winery, a Lieder recital at Napa Valley College, and "A Celebration of Women's Voices" recital at First United Methodist. She has also soloed with the Napa Valley Opera Company, St. Mary's Episcopal Church, the St. Helena Chamber Singers, the Napa Valley Chorale, Napa High School, and the North Bay Philharmonic Orchestra.
