I graduated from the University of Michigan MA-1969, BS-1967. Also the University of California at Berkeley PhD-1973. I started teaching at Napa Valley College in the fall of 1969. I've taught mathematics for the US State Department's Fulbright Program in England and Mexico. Also a year at California State University-Sonoma. I currently teach two courses each semester at NVC--Statistics and PreAlgebra. These courses offer many interesting applications found in the news each term. I have found evening students learn mathematics best when fortified by York Mint Patties and Dove Dark Chocolate. I enjoy tennis, biking, wine, and Scrabble.
