Napa Valley College’s long established Child Development Center is now accepting enrollment for a new Community Preschool program. The program, for children ages 2 to 5.7, will start Aug. 6. Hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A total of 40 spaces will be available for two classrooms; a class for 2-3 year olds and one preschool classroom. Highly qualified staff members are committed to caring for your child and providing an environment that meets your child’s development needs and individual interests, according to Monique Villagran, director.
The center features low teacher/child ratios, project based emergent curriculum, and two hot prepared meals and an afternoon snack.
Interested parents are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible. Applications and information on fees are available on the college website www.napavalley.edu (click on Child Development Center) or call the office at 707-253-3046 or email email@example.com.
Villagran shares the philosophy of the center: “NVC Child Development Center's primary goal is to provide a developmentally safe and nurturing environment which promotes the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development of young children while responding to the needs of their families.”
An open house is planned for noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21 with center tours available. The center is on the south end of the Napa campus. Take the Kennedy Park/Streblow Drive entrance to the college and turn on Roy Patrick Drive.
