Music Napa Valley Holiday Concert Season

Napa, CA - Music Napa Valley at Napa Valley College (NVC) will present three glorious music events to brighten the holiday season. Kicking off the winter festivities is La Fiesta de la Posada on Dec. 2 at 3 p.m.  At the center of this varied holiday concert is well-known jazz performer/composer Dave Brubeck’s rendition of “la posada,” a musical depiction of the holy family’s journey, culminating in the birth of Jesus in a manger. A true family event, the concert features the Napa Valley College Chorale, joined by the Napa Valley Children’s Chorus. The afternoon culminates in a joyous celebration in the Paul Ash Lobby. The second of the holiday concert series is Big Band Swing, presented by the Napa Valley College Jazz Ensemble on December 14 at 8 p.m. Directed by Bill Gantt, this is a concert to get your toes tapping and fingers snapping. Dancing in the aisles? That’s your call. The third and final event in the Holiday Series is Instrumental Alchemy on December 16 at 3 p.m., when the NVC Orchestra and North Bay Wind Ensemble turn wood and metal into golden music. Harry Cadelago conducts.

All concerts are in the Main Theater at the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center (PAC). The PAC is located at 2277 Napa-Vallejo Hwy. in Napa. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors, students and military personnel.  Tickets may be purchased online at www.musicnapavalley.org or by phone at 707-256-7500. Tickets are also available at the door beginning one hour prior to performances.
