WebGrants for Students. The California Student Aid Commission has created this website 
just for you, the student. The goal is to provide you with the resources, information and tools you need to assist you with the college financial aid process. This site will also allow you to manage your Cal Grant and/or Chafee account(so) online by letting you view updates, make school changes, make address changes and post leave of absence requests. 7 Steps to Receiving Financial Aid
These are the steps in the financial aid process at Napa Valley College:
- You complete the FAFSA, being sure to include NVC school code(001247) on the application.
- You receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) in the mail or electronically if you include your email address.
- NVC receives your FAFSA data from the processor electronically and determines your eligibility for a Board of Governor's Enrollment Fee Waiver (BOGW).
- NVC sends you a letter requesting needed documents to determine your eligibility for aid other than the BOGW. Required documents are also listed on WebAdvisor under Communications, My Documents.
- You return the requested documents to the NVC Financial Aid/EOPS Office.
- NVC processes the documents and mails you a notice of eligibility (average document processing time is 10-12 weeks during peak times).
- A financial aid check is mailed to you (if eligible).
