Assistive technology can play a large role in helping students with learning disabilities to learn and retain information. Many students respond to having their reading material put in alternate format. Programs include Kurzweil Scan/Read, Inspiration, Dragon Dictate Naturally Speaking, Microsoft Reader, and more.
A Learning Disabilities Specialist will work with each student to determine appropriate assistive technology (if needed).
The Assistive Technology Lab is located in Learning Services (LLRC room 1766). Hours are:
Monday, Wednesday 10:00 - 12:00
Tuesday, Thursday 1:00 - 3:00
The lab is free and open to students with disabilities.
