General Counseling Center

Napa Valley College Counselors are dedicated to student success. Our Counselors provide comprehensive academic support, while recognizing the individual needs of students within a diverse population.

Counselors work with students in assessing, planning, and achieving their immediate and long-range goals, as well as assisting students in developing self-knowledge, self-esteem, and self-confidence to enhance student learning and success.

Program Learning Outcome:
Students will be able to succeed in college by accessing and utilizing college systems, services and resources.

Note –Drop-in times are approximations only and are on a first come first serve basis. Often times, drop in sessions fill to capacity before the drop-in end time. We do our best to see as many students as possible during these times, but there is no guarantee that we can see everyone during drop ins.

Announcements: 

 We are currently booking counseling appointments for comprehensive Educational Planning, planning your transfer to a university, and/or filing for a Graduation Petition. We schedule appointments beginning on Tuesday for the following week, until filled.  

 

Appointments for the week of

Sept. 29th are currently filled. We are currently booking appointments for the week of Oct. 6th.

  

We will continue to hold limited drop-in counseling during our appointment period as well. Drop in sessions are approximately 10-15 minutes long and are not appropriate for:  

Comprehensive Ed Planning, transcript evaluations and/or filing for a Graduation Petition.
