Commencement 2010

The Office of Student Service is in charge of staging the college's annual commencement ceremony which is traditionally held on the last Friday of May.  Graduates from the previous summer and fall semesters, as well as those graduating in the spring, are eligible to attend the ceremony.  The ceremony is usually held on campus in the college gymnasium and approximately 200 graduates participate in the commencement ceremony each year.

Students must petition for degrees by a specified date in the semester prior to the term they anticipate to graduate.  Please refer to the Petitioning for Graduation website for more details.

The commencement invitation letter and other information is mailed to graduates around mid-to late April.

In addition, students who have applied and been approved for graduation for summer, fall and spring and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA will be invited to audition to be the Valedictory Speaker at Commencement.  These auditions are traditionally held on the last Thursday and Friday of April in the morning, but this year they will take place on May 7, 2010.

For up-to-date information on Commencement, please continue to check this page.  Flyers will be posted around campus in late March with details about graduation.

For questions regarding the general commencement ceremony, please call the Office of Student Services at (707) 253-3110.
