Welcome to the Child Development Center
The Napa Valley College Child Development Center is an integral part of the campus community. The major sources of funding for the program are the State Department of Education Office of Child Development Division, Federal and State Child Nutrition Programs, and Parent Fees, if applicable.
The Child Development Center can serve 125 children ranging from 2 months to 5 years 7 months or kindergarten entry.
The program is open from approximately 7:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday depending on enrollment, except when the college is closed for holidays or breaks.
To be eligible for the program, the child’s parent(s) or guardian(s) must be Napa Valley College students working toward a degree or certificate with an identified educational plan created by a counselor, Napa Valley College employees, or if the waitlist is exhausted, children from the community.
NVC Child Development Center's primary goal is to provide a developmentally safe and nurturing environment which promotes the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development of young children while responding to the needs of their families.
