Last year’s team set a high standard for this upcoming season by finishing 16-10 and ranking 15th in the last Junior College Poll. It was the most successful season in years.
This year’s team looks to be built around All-State freshman and Division I prospect Bernadette White. The 6’3” center averaged over 20 points a game last year and pulled down over 10 rebounds a game. The veteran leadership of sophmore Alex Vidal and Joy Perez will be a valuable key to this year’s success. Incoming freshmen Shayuita Brown and Gwen Guck should also provide key minutes. NVC will play one of the hardest pre-seasons in the state to prepare them for a run at the Bay Valley Conference championship.
