Coach Hobbs played softball and volleyball at Chico State. She graduated from Chico State in 2002 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Health Science Supplement. During her schooling at Chico State, she was also the assistant varsity softball coach at Hamilton City High School in Hamilton City, CA.
Coach Hobbs finished her single subject teaching credential at Kearny High School in San Diego, CA and was the varsity head softball coach. Hobbs then transferred to Madison High School where she taught Physical education, Mathematics, English, and Special Education from 2003-2004. At Madison High School she also coached varsity volleyball for 2 seasons and varsity softball for 1 season. In 2005, she was named the head softball coach at San Marcos High School in San Marcos, CA.
After receiving her Master’s in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University in May 2005, Coach Hobbs was named the Head Softball Coach and Physical Education Instructor at Napa Valley College in January 2006. The Storm finished tied for 3rd in the Bay Valley Conference in 2006. In 2007, Coach Hobbs was named the BVC Coach of the Year and the Storm was named the BVC Co-Champions. In the 2008 season, the Storm finished 2nd in the Bay Valley Conference, with a 21-2 record. Coach Hobbs has been the head coach for the Napa Valley Express 18-under ASA summer travel softball team for 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Currently, Coach Hobbs is enjoying her fourth year coaching and teaching physical education at Napa Valley College. She teaches weight training, physical fitness, walking for fitness, billiards, and softball.
Hobbs was born in Mountain View, CA. and graduated from Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California in 1998. At Saint Francis she played basketball, soccer, and softball. She currently lives in Walnut Creek, CA and enjoys playing slow pitch softball, eating sushi and spending time with her Chocolate Lab puppy, Nakona, in her spare time.
