Summer sports camps at Napa Valley College
Napa Valley College is the site of several summer sports camps for youth. Some camps have started; registration is open for camps starting later in June and in July.
Storm Baseball Academy
The 2011 Storm Baseball Academy will have two sessions from July 11-14 and from July 25-28, both from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Bob Freschi, head baseball coach; Paul Frietas, assistant baseball coach; Brian Houle, assistant baseball coach; Warren Brusstar, pitching coach, and current Napa Valley College players as camp staff. NVC Youth Softball Summer Clinic
Young softball players interested in learning and refining their skills can attend the NVC Youth Softball Summer Clinic staffed by Storm softball coaches and players. July 1 is registration deadline for the July 18-21 clinic, held from 9 a.m. to noon. There are two age groups 8-13 and 14-18. Basketball Camps
Chris Kvidahl, head coach for the NVC women's basketball team; Meshach Osborne, assistant coach, and current women's basketball players will instruct a camp July 18-21 for coed grades first through fourth and for grades fifth through ninth from noon to 3 p.m. at the NVC gymnasium. Cost is $100 for each camp. For more information, email  .
Soccer - Brad Williams
Brad Williams, NVC's new women's soccer coach, will host a 3v3 soccer tournament July 16 at the college. The cost is $150 per person and is open to players 6-14. Championship T-shirts will be given for age bracket winners. Registration forms are available under the women's soccer page at www.napavalley.edu/athletics or email Williams at  or call 707-253-3036.
Williams will draw from his background as a goalkeeper to offer a dedicated goalkeeper summer camp for goalkeepers of all skill levels on July 18-22, 9am-12pm. It is open to ages 8-18. The cost is $110.
