Enrollment Verification

An enrollment verification certifies that a student is attending Napa Valley College during a specific time period.  Verifications will provide information about the students status (full-time, part-time, or less than half-time).  They can also be done to indicate a degree received or a certificate of completion.

Students may request a verification through the Admissions and Records Office.  Processing time for verifications are 5 - 7 business days from the date of receipt in the office.  During the first two weeks of the Fall or Spring semesters and during the first week of a Summer term, the only verifications that will be processed are

  • Loan Deferments
  • Scholarships
  • Unemployment

After this time, all other verification requests will be processed.  Verifications are to be picked up by the student with a photo ID from the Admissions and Records Office.  If a third party is requesting information, it will be returned to the third party as it was received.  A signed student release needs to accompany all third party requests and they will be returned according to our procedure outlined above.

Napa Valley College does not fax a verification to a student.  Verifications are always completed on Napa Valley College letterhead, or it is attached to additional documentation that is provided to the Admissions and Records Office at the time of the request.
