I would like to preface your journey through the Napa Valley College website with a warm welcome and some facts to stimulate your interest in becoming a student here.
Napa Valley College is a community united by a shared sense of purpose: creating an exciting and supportive academic environment in which students can do their best. Faculty and staff challenge their students to set ambitious goals for themselves, and their accomplishments speak clearly. Our students routinely earn statewide and national recognition for scholarship, and they are academically successful upon transferring to UC, CSU, and private institutions across the State. Graduates entering the workforce report they are well-prepared for the demands of their new, rewarding careers.
Many Valley College programs and services have been acknowledged as statewide models, and our faculty and staff have distinguished themselves as leaders in their respective fields. Our reputation for excellence has resulted in strong partnerships with other colleges and universities as well as millions of dollars awarded from highly competitive grants. Thanks to community support, a new Life Sciences Building opened in 2008, soon to be followed by a Library and Learning Resource Center, Instructional Center for the Performing Arts, Auxiliary Gymnasium, and Ceramics Building.
