Napa Valley Give! Guide 2014

The NVC Child Development Center is honored to have been selected for inclusion in the 2014 Napa Valley Give! Guide. Check back soon for information on participating in the Give! Guide campaign.

Additionally, the Child Development Center will be the featured non-profit at the Oxbow Market Locals' Night Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In 2013, the NVC Child Development Center received $1,200 via the Give! Guide, thanks to the many supporters in the community who value quality of early childhood education and understand that early childhood education is an essential component for a healthy, productive, and engaged future for all who live in Napa.

The NVC Child Development Center teaches children to be creative and engaged lifelong learners who care about each other and the world in which they live. CDC provides a safe, nurturing and developmentally-appropriate, play-based learning environment for the babies and young children of students at Napa Valley College or Napa residents.

“I’m the first in my family to graduate from college. As a single parent, NVC supported my daughter’s development; the Child Development Center is her second home.”
Norma Ortiz Fernandez, NVC Class of 2013

An integral part of the campus community: the CDC serves as a learning and teaching laboratory school for students enrolled in the Child & Family Studies program at NVC.  As an integrated program, it also serves NVC Criminal Justice Training center cadets, nursing students and other students, enabling them to complete assignments, observations and participate in the classrooms.
