Napa Valley College

Noted regularly as one of the top five all-around colleges in the 112 California Community College system, Napa Valley College has a rich tradition of educating generations of Napa Valley residents.  The college is a single-campus district with an enrollment of more than 9,000 students who are served at the main campus in the city of Napa and at a satellite campus in St. Helena. The college is dedicated to providing quality programs and services that promote learning and enhance individual development. Over the last 10 years, the community has invested $168 million to upgrade the 160-acre main campus, including the construction of a new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, the McCarthy Library and Learning Resource Center, and a 6.5 acre solar energy field. Our commitment to provide accessible, high quality transfer and career technical educational opportunities defines our student-centered culture and is at the heart of every decision the college makes.

Our Faculty, Staff and Students

Napa Valley College has 90 full-time faculty positions and over 200 part-time faculty. More than 130 classified staff members and 32 administrators support our educational programs. We are a community of people excited about learning, and the college promotes and supports a spirit of teamwork. Attracting, nurturing, and celebrating diversity in staff and students is a college priority. We work with a diverse population of students from all socio-economic, cultural and educational backgrounds and were officially designated a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) by the US Department of Education in 2011. This diversity is the real treasure of the educational experience at Napa Valley College. We value, model and encourage student success, honesty, creativity, integrity, inclusivity, openness to new ideas, respect for others, and health and wellness. We believe these values support the variety of learning abilities and life experiences present in the community college culture.
