The Clown Show will have four public performances on October 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 2pm at the Napa Valley College Theater.
For two weekends children of all ages can enter the fun filled world of clowns while learning about the evolution of clowning. Comedy acts and laughter reign supreme as a group of talented actors become your favorite clowns and perform famous clown gags while paying tribute to the history of clowns.
The production is written by Reed Martin who is both a Theater Arts faculty member at Napa Valley College and Managing Partner of the Reduced Shakespeare Company.
"Ever since I performed as a clown with Ringling Brothers/Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1988-89 I have wanted to write a stage play about clowning. I think it's an under-appreciated art form. I'm grateful to Napa Valley College for giving me the opportunity to create this show."
Ticket prices are $10 Adults $8 Seniors/Students/Military, and $5 for Children twelve and younger. NVC is also offering a discounted Family Four Pack, four tickets (2 Adults & 2 Children) for $20.
Performances will be held at the Napa Valley College Little Theater, 2277 Napa Vallejo Hwy, Napa. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling 707-259-8077. Tickets may also being purchased at the door. All seating is reserved.
