Designed to bring many student services together under one roof to better serve students, the remodel of Building 1300, the former college administration building, into a Student Services building, is the final major Bond N project at Napa Valley College. The centerpiece will be a new Welcome Center for students and the community.
Student services offices will be closed to the public during the last weeks of February to accomplish the move into Building 1300.
The office of Oscar De Haro, vice president of Student Services, will be closed for moving Feb. 27 – 29 and staff expect to reopen in the new location March 5.
College Counseling offices will be closing for the move Feb. 21 – 28 and anticipate opening for students in the new location on March 5. The Counseling secretaries will be located in Room 1339A.
The Admissions and Records office will be closed Feb. 27 and Feb. 28 while moving and anticipate being open for students by March 5.
The Transfer Center and Career Centers will be closed Feb. 21 – March 1, reopening March 5 in a joint space.
Student Life and ASNVC (student government), and Student Support Services will close Feb. 21 – 29, reopening March 5.
Remodeling is also being done in Financial Aid/ EOPS (Bldg. 1100). That office will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 21 to set up computers, phones, and unpack boxes to complete the new front counter installation and workspace configuration. The office will reopen for regular business on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
An open house will be planned later in the spring.
