Thursday, September 24 -- After the Board of Trustees meeting, there will be a candlelight walk across campus to acknowledge Dr. McCarthy for the transformation that has occurred on the campus under his leadership. Please meet at the board room or the glade between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. Candles will be available, or bring your own.
Tuesday, September 29 -- Please join us if you wish during faculty hour (12:30p – 1:30p) in the quad. Green lapel ribbons that represent Chris’ Irish ancestry, one of the NVC colors, and the green initiatives supported by Chris, will be distributed. We will have an open microphone for people to come and share their stories and memories of Chris McCarthy. As we all know, Chris was an amazingly creative person who loved the arts in various forms. To honor him and his memory, we will have panels to allow people to write, paint, paste, or create in some other manner as a way to remember Chris. The panels will be up all day under tents to allow everyone an opportunity to express themselves. Students are welcome.
