Phi Theta Kappa honor society is holding a free E-Waste event at the college from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 24. It will be held in parking lot D on the south end of the Napa campus, near Streblow Drive.
The Napa Valley College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the National Honor Society of two-year colleges, is holding the fundraiser to help send member students with a GPA of 3.5 and higher to conventions and leadership training events, as well as to help support community service projects in Napa County.
Items accepted include monitors, TVs, computers, laptops, cell phones, telecom equipment, wire/cable, PC boards, scrap metal, mice, keyboards, printers, fax and copy machines, toner and ink cartridges, stereo equipment, DVD/CD/MP3 players, microwave ovens, small appliances and more. (No fluorescent lights or alkaline batteries.)
