Community invited to March 13 Listening Post

Dr. Edna Baehre-Kolovani, Napa Valley College’s president, will host listening sessions both on and off campus this spring. The next session open to the community is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 13 in the Library Learning Resources Center Community Room on Napa campus.

“I am open to hearing whatever the community would like to share,” said Dr. Baehre-Kolovani. “These are challenging times for education and we want to continue to be responsive to our local community; the college exists to serve the educational and workforce needs of the community. Community partnerships are vital and we would appreciate getting input on proposed innovations and ways the community can help the college, and how the college can help the community.” The listening sessions are intended to hear what the community values about the college and what its positive impact is and to also hear areas of concern and suggestions for solutions to those areas of concern.

The college is marking its 70th anniversary this year and is completing the final projects as a result of Bond Measure N. The community will have a chance to see the new Library Learning Resources Center since it will be the site of the March 13 session.
