English 84 provides self-paced coursework individually tailored to students’ needs. The assignments are targeted to help you develop skills in specific areas such as essay structure, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, spelling, and vocabulary.
As an ENGL 84 student, you can also receive guidance and feedback from Instructional Assistants on writing assignments for other classes.
You can take ENGL 84 for .5 or 1.0 unit of credit. The requirements for credit are:
.5 unit - 18 hours, 4 assignments
1.0 unit - 36 hours, 8 assignments
Hours can be completed any time the Writing Center is open.
