What is Psychology?

Psychology, rooted in both philosophy and science, is the empirical study of behavior, emotion and mental processes. Studying psychology provides a level of education and training that helps students succeed in a variety of careers and other graduate opportunities. In fact, the Princeton review has issued a report stating that Psychology is the second most popular major among undergraduate students and stated: 

“Within the field, psychologists seek to educate, communicate and resolve many of the problems surrounding human behavior.”

A psychology degree is a solid base from which many students launch advanced education. Psychology has the highest rate of post-graduation and professional education of any of the social sciences with more than 50% of graduates eventually going on to get advanced degrees n psychology, law, business administration or other professions (CNN).
