We teach classes on virtually every aspect of society. You can study anything from the structure of a political party to a breakdown of the function of the central nervous system to the relationship between the living and their dead ancestors in New Guinea or the rights of the accused immediately after arrest.
Some courses offered in this division are required for an Associate of Arts degree and for admission to most universities, and all courses offered in this division are university transferable. Every course is taught by an expert in the field who has met the rigorous standards set by the Chancellor’s Office. All Social Science courses are regularly updated to reflect the nearly constant change going on around us, and therefore, present the most accurate picture possible of society in the United States and around the globe.
