Welcome to Health Occupations

Health Occupations offers a variety of courses that allow students to learn new skills or earn certificates and degrees.  Some of our classes are single classes which may earn you a certificate and others are complete programs that will earn you an A.S. degree and once completed you are eligible to take the State Board Examination for Licensure in the State of California.   

Program Information is available in a rack outside the Health Occupations Office.  

The main programs offered through Health Occupations are:

  • Associate Degree Program in Nursing - 2 year program
  • Vocational Nursing - Extended Format - 3 semester program (extended to a toal of 2 years)
  • Respiratory Therapy - 5 semester program
  • Psychiatric Technician - 3 semester program
  • Paramedic - 2 year program

Other classes offered are:

  • Emergency Medical Technician - Class
  • First Responder - Class
  • Intravenous Therapy - Certificate
  • Therapeutic Massage - Class
  • Skills Assessment - Class (for Health Occ students only)
  • Chinese Medicine - Class
