Napa Valley College's Voice Department is within the Fine and Performing Arts Division and has two facets in its curriculum: individual vocal technique development and group performance opportunities.
General Information
The Voice Department offers classes in individual vocal training (Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, Commercial and Musical Theater Voice) and choral performance classes. The students enrolled in these classes perform in concerts and recitals at the college.
All campus students have the opportunity to perform in the College Chorale, Gospel Choir, women in the Women's Chorale; and audition for the musical theater productions.
Dr. Eve-Anne Wilkes is the Director of Vocal Studies at Napa Valley College, where she teaches voice classes and directs the college's Women's Chorale. Other voice faculty include Vaida Falconbridge, Myiia "Sunny" Hawkins and Vicky Van Dewark. Ms. Falconbridge, Ms. Van Dewark and Dr. Wilkes teach voice classes. Ms. Falconbridge also directs the College Chorale, Ms. Hawkins directs the Gospel Choir and Dr. Wilkes directs the Women's Chorale.
