Rooted in critically engaged studio practice, Napa Valley College's fine art program focuses on creating an environment in which critical thinking, problem solving, expression and the development of visual literacy can thrive.
NVC offers classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and two dimensional design. Our faculty teaches solid skills and critical thinking so that students can go on to create personally meaningful work that represents their own voice.
The second story of the Art Center on the Napa Valley College main campus houses the fine art program. Painting, drawing and printmaking are also offered at the Upper Valley Campus in St. Helena.
Students can pursue an AA or certificate in art or prepare for transfer to a college, university or art school.
