Choral Groups

nvcsingers   College Chorale (Music 160) perform traditional choral repertoire from the Medieval through the contemporary musical periods. Every semester the group sings selections from all the major periods.
Renaissance  

NVC Singers have performed in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic and in the fall semester of 1996 sang in the National Madrigal Festival at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City.

PV Opera House   Prima voce (Music 161) is a select ensemble chosen from the Napa Valley College Singers membership by audition. The personnel of this vocal ensemble changes each semester, as does its rehearsal schedule.

The above Prima voce sang at the opening of the Napa Valley Opera House, August 2003 as part of the "Wine Country Showcase" evening. Members of the ensemble are: (left to right) Thomas Hinesley, Belinda Yamate, Samuel Palmer, Elizabeth Dreyer, Jane Dunkelberger, Dorothy Unsicker).

PV Mont La Salle  

The Prima Voce ensemble has also sang the West Coast premier of the cantata, Two Crowns for Maximilian, by American woman composer, Dr. Elaine Murray Stone. )

     
Uptempo! Blue   Uptempo! (Music 163) is the college's stage choir, which performs contemporary popular literature with stage movement. This group performs on campus and also tours the Napa and North Bay area. The musical arrangements are primarily popular and jazz harmonies
Uptempo! Red   This course is not offered every semester. Check the current calendar for possible listing.
