The Napa Valley Community College District Board Policy Manual consists of policies that have been approved by the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees to provide direction to students, faculty, and staff regarding college operations.
Policies are developed through the college shared governance process and require two readings of the Napa Valley College Board of Trustees for final approval. Substantive revisions to policies also go through the college shared governance process and require the board's approval. Non-substantive updates do not go through the shared governance process.
The Board Policy Manual is divided into the following sections: Section D: General District Policies; Section F: Business and Finance; Section H, Human Resources: Part I: General Policies Applicable to Employees; Part II: Administrative/Confidential Employees; Part III, Classified Employees; Part IV: Academic Employees. Section I: Instruction; Section B: Board of Trustees.
