   The tables report the number of students assigned to each subset as well as the proportion of students in the subset who selected each response. 
The detailed tables report student response rates across 6 response options.  Those 6 response options span: 

Mostly Positive – More Positive than Negative – Balance between Positive & Negative –
More Negative than Positive – Mostly Negative – No Response.

   The collapsed tables report student response rates across 3 response options.  The 6 response options included in the detailed tables were assigned to 3 categories describing the general nature (positive, negative, neutral) of each response.  The 3 collapsed response options span: 

Generally Positive – Balance/Neutral/No Response – Generally Negative.

   The “generally positive” category includes “mostly positive” as well as “more positive than negative.”  The “generally negative” category includes “mostly negative” as well as “more negative than positive.”  The “balance/neutral/no response” category includes “balance between positive & negative” and “no response.”
