Ceramics Building
NEARS COMPLETION

Construction at the south end of campus on a new Ceramics Building is nearly complete. A dedication is planned for mid to late June. The building interior is essentially complete although work continues on landscaping and other exterior elements. The general contractor, SW Allen, Inc. was awarded the project in September of 2008 and was able to complete construction ahead about three months early and classes will be offered in the new space over the Summer of 2009.
Library & Learning Resource Center

This project, to build a new two-story, 60,000 gross square foot, Library & Learning Resource Center, was awarded to Edge Development at the May 15, 2008 meeting of the Board of Trustees. Site clearing, foundations and site utilities are complete. The buiding has "gone vertical" as steel framing nears completion. Construction is anticipated to be completed in the Spring of 2010.
North Gym/Fieldhouse

This project, to build a new two-story, auxilliary gymnasium to support Criminal Justice and Adaptive PE, was awarded at the July 17, 2008 meeting of the Board of Trustees. The lower floor will house new Adaptive PE instructional space and a new weight room. The upper floor will provide a mat room for criminal justice defensive tactics and other instruction. Construction is scheduled to be completed October 2009.

Broward Brothers is well under way at the construction site at the north end of campus. The project, including a complete renovation of the Parking Lot A (this phase scheduled for Summer 2009), is anticipated to be completed in Spring 2010.
